Mirpur building breakdown: 3 executed, 19 harmed as salvage crucial

MIRPUR: At least three individuals were killed in the triple-story marriage corridor building breakdown, including the lobby proprietor and his child, in Azad Jammu and Kashmir's Mirpur on Friday evening, Geo News revealed. 

A salvage activity by Pakistan Army began yesterday, continued on Saturday again as rescuers endeavored to recoup the harmed from the rubble. 

On Friday, 17 individuals had been safeguarded from underneath the garbage, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) had stated, as Army troops had started salvage and aid ventures alongside the common organization. 

The military's media wing had said that the military's Urban Search and Rescue group rolled in from Rawalpindi to help in the endeavors. 

The episode happened when workers were attempting to revamp the structure of a marriage lobby in Mirpur's Chaksawari region. 

As indicated by an injured worker, who was later protected by authorities, in excess of 50 workers were chipping away at the structure when it came smashing down.
